After opening an image in Snagit, I am unable to save it to any format. The thumbnail icon shows up as blank. Attempting to use the magic wand tool on the capture may result in a crash.
This is a known issue we are currently investigating. Please try one of the workarounds below to work with that image in Snagit.
- Open the image in your preferred browser. This can be done by going to the menu bar and choosing File > Open.
- Right click on the image in the browser and choose Copy Image.
- Open the Snagit Editor and browse to the menu bar item File > New from clipboard. To verify if this worked, try saving the image as a PNG or JPEG file.
Another option is to try using some third party conversion software to re-save the image.
If none of these options work, submit a ticket to our Support team with a copy of the image.
