Snagit (Windows): The Feature You Are Trying to Use Is on a Network Resource That Is Unavailable


After Windows updates are installed, the error below is displayed and Snagit fails to launch.



This is a known issue that we hope to fix in a future release. Please use one of the solutions below to fix the problem.

Option 1: Repair Snagit

  1. Download a new copy of Snagit (the same version you are currently running) from our downloads page.
  2. Double-click the downloaded file.
  3. If prompted with the screen below, choose Repair
  4. Once complete, try Snagit again.

Option 2: Reinstall Snagit

Make sure you have your license key before uninstalling Snagit.

  1. Uninstall Snagit through your control panel.
  2. Reboot your computer.
  3. Reinstall using this link.
