When exporting project (Sharing using either Local File, Youtube, Google Drive, Screencast.com etc) annotations that are used in the project display black in the resulting video.
This is a known issue that we are currently investigating.
The issue appears to only be happening for users that are on version OSX 10.10. If the machine experiencing the issue was to update to a newer version of OSX (10.11 or greater), that should allow the annotations to export correctly. Here is an article from Apple on how to update your OSX version.
If updating your OSX version is not an option, you can get around the issue by doing a full uninstall of Camtasia Mac v3.0.5, and reverting back to a previous version (3.0.0). The instructions for the full uninstall are listed below:
Close Camtasia, and move Camtasia from the Applications folder to the Trash folder then click on Finder. Then go to the Go menu (at the top of your screen) and click on Go To Folder and enter the following:
Press Go; in the window that appears locate all of the com.techsmith.Camtasia PLIST files and move them to the trash then close the Window.
Again, go to the Go menu and click on Go To Folder and enter the following:
Once more, press Go; in the window that appears, move the Camtasia folder (as well as any Camtasia Previous or Prior folder(s)) to the Trash and then close the window. (you may be able to find a Camtasia folder outside of the TechSmith folder within the Application Support folder itself/ if so delete that as well).
Go to the Go menu and click on Go To Folder and enter the following:
Press Go; in the window that appears, move thecom.techsmith.Camtasia and com.techsmith.identityprofile.data folder to the Trash and then close the window.
Empty the Trash.
Once both of those are complete, re-download from the link below:
