TechSmith Relay: SQL Credentials Not Accepted During Install or Manager Fails to Start After Successful Installation

There is a known issue with TechSmith Relay's installer which does not properly handle leading or trailing white space (a space) in passwords. This will cause either the installer to be unable to verify the SQL credentials used in the setup process or the install will complete, but Relay Manager service will not be able to start. In this case, Event Viewer should report failures when attempting to log into the Relay database.

To work around this issue, please remove the leading or trailing whitespace in the password for the user account and re-attempt the installation.
