DVD's support a resolution of 720x480. So to make a video that looks good on DVD you'll want to record and edit at 720x480 and produce an MP4 file. You can then take that MP4 file to a DVD authoring tool such as Nero or Cyberlink Power Director to burn the DVD.
720x480 is a pretty small resolution. With many new monitors coming at a default resolution of 1920x1080 it's hard to make a full screen recording on a new monitor look good when playing back via DVD. For most scenarios we would recommend hosting produced video content on a web site of some sort to distribute to your viewers.
