This error is caused when the Operating System is missing a file it needs to properly complete the installation process. The Error Message could look like, but is not restricted to, one of the following:
- This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
- Could not load the DLL library C:\ Program Files (or x86) \ TechSmith \ TechSmith Program \ SnagItUtl.dll.
- Error: 1904 Unable to register a particular DLL file.
This issue is a result of a problem with your Microsoft Windows Visual C++ Redistributable Package(s) or if they are missing from your Operating System, as these libraries are used by our Install Packages.
Please use the links below to install the needed components from Microsoft. You will want to download and install these files in the order they are listed here.
Click the Download button on the page. If prompted to Run or Save, please Save the file. Once downloaded, locate the file and double-click to run it.
Now reinstall your TechSmith Software. This should resolve the issue.
If you still encounter this error message, with reference to the Flash9b.ocx file, you may need to fully uninstall and reinstall the Adobe Flash Player on your system to restore and register this file.
