Snagit (Windows): Error 1500: Another installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this one

First, try to restart the computer and then reinstall the software.

If that does not work hit ctrl + alt + del and open the Task Manager.

Windows 10/8

  1. Select More Details in the bottom left corner
  2. Under the Processes tab, search for Windows Installer under Background Processes
  3. Click on that process and choose End Task
  4. Try reinstalling Snagit

Windows 7

  1. Open the Processes tab
  2. look for Msiexec.exe
  3. If found, right click on it and choose End Process
  4. Try reinstalling Snagit
