Please use the following steps to disable Hardware Acceleration System-Wide:
Right-click on the desktop and select Properties > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot.
Set the Hardware Acceleration slider to none.
Now retry taking your capture and you should be able to properly capture using your TechSmith Software.

This issue is often related to security software blocking the recorder's screen capture.
We have identified that the following applications can cause problems with capturing the screen; however, other security software may cause the similar problems:
- Problematic Security Software
- Norton's CrimeWar
- Trusteer Rapport
- Zone Alarm, Zone Alarm Forcefield
- Anti-Key Logger by SpyDex
Most of these applications have a Safe or White listing option that can prevent them from interfering with the Relay Recorder. If the Relay Recorder cannot be white listed in the offending software, it may be necessary to remove this software from the computer where you are attempting a video capture.
