- Please make sure CamtasiaStudio.exe and CamRecorder.exe are not running by checking your Task Manager.
- Click start-->run and type regedit or type regedit into the search window and run regedit.exe
- Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TechSmith\Camtasia Studio\8.0 and delete the 8.0 folder.
- Click on your Start Menu. Click on All Programs or All Apps and scroll down to Techsmith and click on Camtasia to open it and try recording again.
