Snagit (Windows): Beginning of the video capture is lost, or audio is missing

After recording a video, the audio at the beginning of the recording is missing.

This is a known issue that will be fixed in a future release. This behavior can happen when recording an application that is in full screen, and there is no movement on the screen for a certain period of time. A common example would be recording a Powerpoint presentation, and narrating an introduction while the first slide is showing (and static). Snagit will begin the actual recording at the first sign of movement on the screen, so some of the audio may be lost.

As a workaround, try to have something moving on the screen while recording the introduction. This could be as simple as moving your cursor, or adding an animation.
