Combine Images

Quickly combine images to create a set of instructions, a short how-to guide, or a side-by-side comparison.

  1. In the tray or library, Control+click (Windows) or Command+click (Mac) to select two to ten images.
  2. Select Image > Combine Images or press Control+Alt+C (Windows) or Option+Shift+C (Mac).

  3. The Combine Images dialog appears. Edit the following settings:

      Option Description

    Add a Caption or Instructions

    (Windows)

    Click in the Add Caption field and type the desired text. Snagit adds this optional text under the image.
    2.png Change Image Order Click and drag the image to the desired location.
    3.png Remove an Image Click the Delete button.

    4.png Add a Title

    (Windows)

    Type the desired text into the field. Snagit adds this optional text at the top of the combined image.

    Image Orientation

    (Windows)

    Select a layout for the images:

    Portrait:

    Select a Theme

    (Windows)

    Select a theme for quick access to the preset color palette for fonts and steps. See Quick Styles and Themes.

    (Windows)

    Enable the Number Images option to add a step number next to each image.
  4. Click Combine.

The combined image opens on the canvas.
