Select Region for Fixed Region Preset Crashes Snagit

Problem

After clicking Select Region while creating a Fixed Region preset, Snagit will crash.

Solution

This is a known issue that is fixed in Snagit 2019.0.1 and later. Select Help > Check for Updates in Snagit to install the latest version.

Workaround for Earlier Versions

1. Open the main Snagit capture Window and click the Image tab.
2. Set the Selection type to Region and click the gear icon.
3. Choose Fixed Region.
4. Click Select Region, and select the region using the cross hairs.
   
5. Click the + button, and choose New preset from current settings.
