How Do I Manage Credit Cards for My Subscription?

A primary credit card is added to your account when you subscribe to TechSmith Video Review, Assets for Camtasia, or Assets for Snagit. To purchase a subscription, please contact our Sales team.

After the subscription is pucrhased, you can sign in to the TechSmith subscription management portal using your TechSmith account. On the portal, click the My subscriptions tab to:

Currently, you cannot edit a credit card. If you need to edit the card details, remove the card, and then add it again with the correct details.

 

Add a Card

For the Video Review and Assets for Snagit/Camtasia subscriptions, we accept the following credit card types:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • American Express
  • Discover

 You can keep several credit cards linked to your TechSmith account.

To add a credit card:

  1. Go to the TechSmith subscription management portal and sign in to your TechSmith account.
  2. Select My subscriptions tab > My credit cards section > Add another card.
  3. Enter the credit card details:
    - Card number, expiration date, and CVV code.
    - Cardholder name, email, and address (can be different than in account details).

    Please take into consideration that the Expiration date should be at least 60 days from the current date. Otherwise, if you decide to cancel a product purchased using this card, you may experience delays in receiving the refund. For more details about the refunds policy, see TechSmith Return Policy.

  4. Make sure that you entered all the credit card details correctly.
  5. Select Save card.

 The credit card is automatically marked as Primary and will be used by default to bill the cost of subscription updates (ex. when you add a new product to the subscription).

Make a Card Primary

You can assign any of your credit cards as the primary credit card.

  1. Go to the TechSmith subscription management portal and sign in to your TechSmith account.
  2. Select My subscriptions tab > My credit cards section > Make primary option for the needed card.

The new primary card will be used for billing when:

  • You decide to add more products to the subscription.
  • You decide to purchase additional product seats.
  • Subscription is auto-renewed at the beginning of the next billing period.

 

Refunds are currently transferred to the original credit card which may be different than the current primary credit card.

 

Remove a Card

You can remove any credit card that is not marked as primary.

  1. Go to the TechSmith subscription management portal and sign in to your TechSmith account.
  2. Select My subscriptions tab > My credit cards section > Remove card option for the needed card.
