Upload Failed when Sharing to Screencast From Camtasia on Mac


When attempting to share to Screencast from Camtasia, Camtasia displays a message that says "Upload Failed". 


This is permanently fixed in Camtasia 2020 and later.

In Camtasia 2019 or earlier, please do the following:

  • Open your Keychain Access utilities on your Mac (this can be found in your Utilities or searching for Keychain in the spotlight search bar).
  • Once in there, search for TechSmith Account - Camtasia 2019.


  • Right click on TechSmith Account - Camtasia 2019 and choose Delete.
  • Restart the computer.
  • Open Camtasia and try sharing to Screencast.
