If your machine is not connected to the internet, you can still activate Camtasia 2020 through Camtasia 2022 offline. Select an option below based on your operating system.
Please note that Camtasia 2023.0.0- 2023.0.2 does not have an Offline Activation option.
- Open Camtasia, enter your key, and click Unlock. For more information, see this support article.
- If Camtasia is unable to connect to the activation service, click Offline Activation.
- In the dialog that opens:
- Click Copy to copy the generated text to the clipboard.
- Or, click Save As to save a .txt file.
Keep this dialog open. You will need to paste the activation code here to register Camtasia.
- Using a device that is connected to the internet, open the activation website.
- In the offline activation tool that opens, paste the text that you saved or copied earlier, and then click Activate.
- Activation code is generated. Copy the entire activation code.
- On the machine with Camtasia installed, paste the activation code and click Register.
- Open Camtasia, enter your key, and click Unlock. For more information, see this support article.
- If Camtasia is unable to connect to the activation service, click Offline Activation.
