(Multi-Seat Subscriptions) View, Edit, Delete an Account

When you go to manage.techsmith.com and sign in to your TechSmith account, you can view and edit all of your accounts:

  • TechSmith account.
  • Account for online store orders, if any.
  • Account for direct orders, if any.
Account type Description
TechSmith account

This is your key account that you can use to access the TechSmith products.

You can view and edit your TechSmith account at manage.techsmith.com > Dashboard.

If you change your primary email, your email for online store orders will be updated automatically.

Account for online store orders

This account is created when you purchase a license or one-seat subscription in our online store.

You can view and edit your account for online store orders at manage.techsmith.com > Online store orders > Account.

If you change your email for online store orders, you will also need to update your primary email, so that they are the same.

View and Edit Multi-Seat Account

After you contact our Sales team to purchase a multi-seat subscription, you can view and edit your multi-seat account in Direct orders > Subscriptions.

Account details Description
Company name

Title of your organization.

Billing address

Every time you place an order to create, update, or renew your multi-seat subscription, your billing address is used to generate an invoice.

Also, we use your billing email to send you:

  • PDF copy of an invoice.
  • Notifications about your transactions (due payment, processed refund, and others).
  • Notifications about key subscription updates (30 days before auto-renewal, upcoming expiration, and others).
    These notifications are also sent to the shipping email.
Shipping address

Every time you place an order to create, update, or renew your multi-seat subscription, your shipping address is used to calculate taxes.

Also, we use your shipping email to send you:

  • Notifications about key subscription updates (30 days before auto-renewal, upcoming expiration, and others).
    These notifications are also sent to the billing email.
  • Notifications about other subscription updates (auto-renewal turned on/off, product canceled).
    These notifications are sent only to the shipping email.

Delete Multi-Seat Account

Please contact Sales to delete your account for multi-seat subscriptions.

After our team deletes your account:

Your multi-seat account information and payment preferences are removed from the system.

All products are removed from your multi-seat subscriptions.

All seat assignments for multi-seat products become inactive, and end users lose access to the products.

History of multi-seat subscription events, invoices, payments, and refunds is removed from the system.

Your other accounts (TechSmith account, account for online store orders) remain active as usual.

Please note that after your account for multi-seat subscriptions is deleted, it cannot be restored.

As an alternative to deleting your account for multi-seat subscriptions, our team can cancel it. See the Why is my account canceled? section in this article.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our Sales team creates an account for you while purchasing your first multi-seat subscription on your behalf. See (Multi-Seat Subscriptions) Purchase My First Multi-Seat Subscription.

If in manage.techsmith.com > Direct orders, the “Product subscriptions will appear here” message appears, you do not have an active multi-seat subscription. See (Multi-Seat Subscriptions) No Subscriptions Page.

After you provide a tax exemption certificate to our Sales team, a hint confirming your status appears under your products. See (Multi-Seat Subscriptions) Tax-Exempt Purchases.

in direct orders, on the subscription page, you can view a hint saying that as a tax-exempt customer, you cannot purchase products or seats and renew the subscription by yourself; please contact the Sales team at techsmith.com/contact.html

Your multi-seat account may be blocked if a payment on your invoice is overdue. Therefore, new purchases are temporarily unavailable. See (Multi-Seat Subscriptions) Unblock an Account.

in direct orders, on the subscription page, above the hint about unpaid invoices, you can view another hint saying that sorry, your account was blocked to prevent new purchases. For more information, please contact the TechSmith team at www.techsmith.com/contact.html

If your subscription was created under an incorrect account (for example, a typo was made in the primary email), or if you lost access to your primary email account, our Sales team may cancel the subscription, and then create it under a new account.

Your previous account is canceled (deactivated), and you can view the corresponding hint on the subscription page: “Sorry, your account is canceled”.

After our team cancels your account for multi-seat subscriptions:

Your multi-seat account information and payment preferences stay in the system.

History of seat assignments, subscription events, invoices, payments, and refunds stays in the system.

You cannot edit your multi-seat account information or payment method.

You cannot purchase a multi-seat subscription under this account.

Your other accounts (TechSmith account, account for online store orders) remain active as usual.

If you would like to re-activate your account for multi-seat subscriptions, please contact Sales.

Sorry, changes to your account details are not saved in Direct orders > History. Also, we do not send any emails about these changes.
