Review a Video or Image

TechSmith Video Review is an online collaboration tool that gets clear feedback on videos and images quickly.

 

Open a Review

By Email:

In the review invitation email, click the Start Review button to begin a review. The reviews you have been invited to appear on the Shared with Me tab.

 

By URL: 

  1. Click or paste the review URL into a web browser.
  2. The video or image to review opens. To enter a comment, click the Comments field.
  3. Enter a temporary display name or sign in to your TechSmith Account.

    The display name identifies you to the video or image owner in the comments.

Preview the video
  • Click the Play button to start the video.
  • Click the Pause button to pause the video.
  • Click and drag on the timeline to move to a specific point in the video.
Add a comment
  1. Click and drag on the timeline to move to a specific point in the video.
  2. Type a review comment into the field.
  3. Click the Submit button.
Mark up the video

Add an Annotation

Mark up the video or image with a frame or arrow.

  1. Click the Draw button.
  2. Click to select a color.
  3. Click to select a shape.
  4. The shape is added to the preview area. Click and drag to move the shape to a new location.
  5. Click the handle to resize or rotate the shape.
  6. Enter a comment into the field.
  7. Click the Submit button.
  8. icon indicates markup in a comment. Click the comment to preview the markup.

 

Draw on the Screen

To add a freestyle drawing on the preview area:

  1. Click the Draw button.
  2. Click to select a color.
  3. Click to select the Freestyle tool.
  4. Click and drag to draw on the preview area.
  5. Enter a comment into the field.
  6. Click the Submit button.
Edit comments

Delete Markup

  1. Click to select a comment.
  2. Click the Edit link.
  3. Click the icon to delete the markup.

 

Edit a Comment

You can only edit your own comments.

  1. Click to select a comment.
  2. Click the Edit link.
  3. Edit the comment text.
  4. Click Save.

 

Delete a Comment

Content owners can also delete reviewers' comments.

  1. Click to select a comment.
  2. Click the Edit link.
  3. Click the icon.
Details tabClick the Details tab to view the title, description, reviewers, deadline, and file properties.
Switch review version
  • Select a version from the Version dropdown.
  • Click the View Latest button to enter comments.

    Commenting is only available for the latest version of the review project.
