When trying to save a standalone project in Camtasia 2021 the following error appears:

Unable to save to this location due to the length of the subfolder path. Please select a shorter path location to save the project and media.

Solution

This is a known issue that is fixed in Camtasia 2021.0.5 and later. Select Help > Check for Updates in Camtasia to install the latest version.

If the issue remains or Camtasia cannot be updated please try the following solutions.
