How Do I Hand Over a Subscription to Someone Else?

As a subscription owner, at manage.techsmith.com, you can delegate your role to someone else in one of these ways:

Add seat managers and remain the subscription owner

If as a subscription owner (A), you only want to delegate the responsibility to assign and revoke seats, this is the way to go.

The seat managers that you assign (X, Y) get full access to the Seats page for that subscription, so in the same way as you, they can:

  • Assign the product seats to end users via a link or by email.
  • Revoke the already assigned seats.

But that’s where the seat manager responsibilities end.

As a subscription owner, you remain in charge of your subscription and all its aspects: purchases, cancelations, renewals, and granting product access (assigning product seats to end users).

Fully transfer your subscription to a new owner

A subscription can only have one owner (A).

When you transfer it to someone else, you cannot view or manage the subscription anymore.

Instead, the new owner of your choice (B) fully takes over the management rights to your subscription and all its aspects: purchases, cancelations, renewals, and granting product access (assigning product seats to end users).

At manage.techsmith.com, you can transfer the subscriptions that are listed in your Direct orders. As for your Online store orders, you can add a seat manager or reassign a seat to someone else by yourself.

If you would like to appoint a new owner for the products that you purchased in the online store, please submit a ticket.
