TTF font being replaced by Arial

I've read a lot of posts on here about fonts not loading into Camtasia because they are OTF and need to be converted to TTF, but the font I'm having problems with IS a TTF and it DOES show up in my camtasia list but its not the right font being displayed, it just seems to be getting replaced with Arial.

What gives? Any solutions to this?

  Is it a Professional/Commercial font? If so, I would contact support.

  Or is a font that someone created and you download for free from a website?

  If its the latter it may/probably is the font.

  I've experienced the same thing. The code can be less than perfect. Many free fonts lack uniformity  and contain other anomalies. There are nice looking ones, don't get me wrong.

  If I encounter any issues with free fonts I uninstall & discard them.
