What you're seeing is ghosts with question marks on the timeline.

That happens when the media has been moved from its original location and Camtasia cannot find it.

When you first open the project, does the program ask if you want to find missing files?

the file is actually there. We are talking about the record - .trec.
I tried uploading the .trec directly to Camtasia and this is what it says:

"camtasia it is either an unsupported media type or required codecs are not found"

There can be no problems with codecs. I regularly record video and save to .trec. From all I could find, this is that the file may actually be corrupted. But why did this happen and what should I do?

I found this answer from support about this issue:

"The webcam gets recorded on a different video track and that portion should be the only portion corrupt. The screen and any audio should be intact, but we'd have to do some things on our end to get that back to you in one piece Of course, if the webcam portion was absolutely needed for this particular recording, then yes, it would be corrupt.

I have gone ahead and logged this on our end as an issue so our developers can take a look. We should not be allowing this to happen so I'll push this to make sure it's corrected in a future update. "

I recorded my screen + webcam. Can support help me fix the .trec file so it works? My file is 18 GB
