Captioning features request
I like the Sync Captions feature, as that saves a ton of time creating captions. However, to get one or two-line captions, I typically create a "ruler" in Notepad, then paste in my script below it. If I want one-line captions, my ruler is 42 characters long, like this:
123456789012345678901234567890123456789012
If I want two-line captions, my ruler is 84 characters long.
I then make sure I insert a line break at breath points, commas, or the end of a sentence, so that captioning appears more natural.
It is easier for me to see the line breaks when clicking during Sync Captions, if I insert an extra blank line between my lines of captions. However, this also means that I must make another pass through my captions to fine tune timing and delete the extra line breaks. So my script, before I paste it into a caption for Sync Captions, looks like the following for one-line captions:
Four score and seven years ago
our fathers brought forth
on this continent, a new nation,
conceived in Liberty,
and dedicated to the proposition
that all men are created equal.
Here is my feature request:
- Add the capability for Camtasia to automatically create one-line, two-line, or three-line captions.
- Add the option to break captions at natural phrases, commas, and the end of a sentence.
- Make it visually easier to see where to click when performing Sync Captions.
Thank you!
