Vastly increase editing of "dead space" video or audio where nothing is happening.
I use Camtasia for recording product testing. In many cases I record for 45-90 minutes and there are long sections where no video changes were happening or no audio picked up. It would be great if Camtasia (even for extra fee) could search through the timeline and mark out any sections where the video did not change or there was near zero audio (or both) so I could delete that quickly. I don't see a way to do that. I think a lot of users would find that helpful for finding outtakes and when they for called away. Feel free to contact me if you want a demo.

TechSmith's Audiate does this with Camtasia projects

KenSchleede, well, if you don't mind paying extra (as you stated), then as Kayakman mentioned, there's Audiate.
If you're just looking for a quick & easy way to search for "near zero audio", I recommend separating the audio & video track (via a right-click option on the main track), and then just look across your audio timeline to see where the volume drops to "near zero". If the default size ("height") of the audio track makes it difficult to discern audio levels, simply click & drag the track's top bar to increase the height, which will make audio levels more pronounced.0
