capture keyboard mapping no longer working?
This has been going on for a while now and I have worked with Dan Y back in April (case #1146634)
I am revisiting this issue now as many of our users are starting to notice the same problem where the assigned keys for capturing something simply stop working. This is a huge problem when you try to capture an open window because when you have to click on the capture button to initiate the capture the window disappears and it cannot be captured. I have tried calling your support line but apparently you are to short staffed to man the support calls so email is the only option available which is extremely slow in response time going back in forth via email.
I have tried everything that i can think of to get this working but now i am at a loss.
Uninstall (several times)
cleaned out the DIR's it creates (that i know of)
cleaned out the REG entries that i could find
reinstall once this is all done and it still doesn't work.
Product name: Snagit, 64-bit
Current version: 21.4.7, next version: 23.1.0
There has to be a fix out there for this issue, surely we cannot be the only ones seeing this behavior?
Awaiting for a response from somebody in a second level support (hopefully).

Same here but in mycase it because of windows Snipping tool
You cloud try to uninstall windows Snipping tool and see if it work?
- Open Snagit and unassign PrintScreen key- Disable PrintScreen key for windows Snipping tool
- Uninstall Snipping tool (Right Click at Snipping tool icon and select unsintall)
- Open Snagit and re-assign PrintScreen key

If you want to reinstall Snipping tool
you can re-install it by using Microsoft Store App0 -
Thanks for trying but still no go. I uninstalled Snip & Sketch but i cannot uninstall the snipping tool (uninstall is not listed anywhere) BUT i did disable it in the group policy and it can not longer be lunched.
The option that you have listed "use the print screen key to open Snipping Tool" is set to OFF (already was set)
What else do you have under your hat that i can try? i need to get this going, as mentioned before, this is affecting many of our users. If we cannot get this to work then i guess we will have to start looking for a different tool to use.
