Image "Scale" of Imported Videos

For reasons I do not understand, when I import video from my camera, it is automatically "scaled" at 100%.  I have to adjust it to 150% to fill up the screen - which means I lose image quality.  Is there a way (or possibly even a camera setting) that imports at 100% and fully fills up the editing screen???

  what dimensions are your imported videos?

  what project settings are you using in the Camtasia editor?

  for best quality, set project settings same as video dimensions

  In Editor Preferences.

  Under the Project Tab. Set the Canvas Dimensions to { Original Recording Dimensions }

  

  When you start a project, the first media placed on the timeline sets projects setting to match the media.

  Make sure you add a video from your camera first and you are all set.
