Project-wide settings

It would be good if I could set clip defaults, such as mix to mono, cursor opacity, etc. at project level for all clips before they are imported, rather than having to modify the settings for every clip. The user should be able to make individual overrides on clips where they don't want the project-wide setting.

  preconfigure a placeholder with the desired settings; many such settings will be inherited by clips ripple replaced into the placeholder; put the placeholder in the Library, or, as I do, make it a component of a template project

  I've done this with cursor effects, captions settings, audio gain, etc

  I gotta say, kayakman, I know a lot of people around here get upset with workarounds, but a lot of your suggestions are pretty damn clever!  This one certainly being no exception!  *golf clap*

  Thanks for the video, kayakman. As Andre said, very clever. It works for sure but I was looking for simple menu options, in the same way as I can set other options. Thanks again.
