My clip starts out showing my cursor movement, then the cursor movement falls behind the audio and appears to stop, though it may just be that the lag is so great that the clip ends on an elongated pause.

    Can you help?

Sam, it sounds to me like there could be one or more technical issues occurring. I think your best bet in this case is to create an account and open a ticket with our support team. I wish I had an initial thought for your here, but they are likely the best equipped to help you resolve this.

    Hi Mike,

Sorry, I thought I had created an account. How do I open a ticket?

No worries, I know it's confusing with a few places to seek help. I made you a little video showing what I'd recommend. http://screencast.com/t/umh5ks7by

Where is this setting on the Mac version? I'm looking for it but don't see it. My cursor is not showing up in my recordings.

Hey, I recorded several videos using the latest camtasia version 8.4.3 and a couple (out of 10 others recorded same day) of videos wont display the mouse cursor, I couldnt find the cursor option you described above plus it did record the cursor on my other videos so there's no reason for it not to work..

Will I have to re-record my videos? and how do I make sure I do record the cursor this time?

    Thanks, Ren.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled can jing include mouse pointer in screenshot?.

I dont see any option for this.
Many times when taking a screenshot you would want the mouse pointer to be included.

does jing have some hidden option to be able to do this?

Same problem here. I am testing a trial version of 8.6.0 on Win7. There are no options on any menus of the recorder to show cursor. Has this been disabled on the trial version? odd that it is so difficult to find.

    Hi everybody,
I'm facing the same problem -
Can't see the cursor in the recorded video.
The only solution I found for that is adding a Cursor FX.
I get complains from my team members about the look of the Cursor effects.
How can i get the regular look of the cursor?
    Thank you,
    Roy

EDIT: I was having the same issue but the problem was when upgrading to OS Sierra (mac), after updating Camtasia the problem fixed.

There sure is! To include your cursor in a video recording, make sure the Cursor option is enabled before you record. It can be found in the Options area just to the left of the Capture button.

Thanks Matt. I figured it was something easy.

When I enable the cursor option, the cursor no longer works. I can't click on anything, and the keyboard keys don't work either - I had to shut off my computer to stop recording. Any suggestions?

This may help others as it fixed the issue on my iMac.

Open Accessibility>Display and set the cursor size to #4 of the 6 markers.  For whatever reason this makes the cursor appear in my Camtasia recordings, and I can add Cursor Fx as well.

I tried working the sizes gradually up from normal, but on mine it only showed in the recording when I got to at least #4.
