January 2017 Feature Request Round-Up

Hello TechSmith Community! It's that time of month again, the 15th is finally here and that means that it is time for the monthly Feature Request Round-Up! To reiterate, as I mentioned a number of weeks ago in a post about New Community Processes, on the 15th of each month I will be gathering the last 30 days’ worth of Feature Requests and placing them in a single post.

This is the first Round-Up of 2017 and the community really came into it strong with about 55 feature requests! We love seeing the amazing turnout and your great ideas, so keep them coming!I would like to point out that each and every feature request is reviewed, with those that have the most votes and highest community interaction are more likely to be responded to by the Product Development team (note that this does not mean that the feature will absolutely be included in a future update), so make sure you are out there championing your feature request both here on the TechSmith community forums and within in your own social and professional circles.

Camtasia (Windows):

• Show Project canvas dimension on screen
  
• Camtasia 9: I missed the time scale I had on Camtasia 8.
  
• Suggestion: Bring Track Forward or Send Backward in Camtasia
  
• Feature request: PPT-plugin extension
  
• Can you make 'bookmarks' in camtasia timeline?
  
• Please make a Camtasia Lite with less features and at a reduced price
  
• pre-share with whatsapp desktop/web
  
• Please add produce to MP3 to Camtasia 9
  
• Add an option to pause & resume rendering for Camtasia
  
• Request: Techsmith cross product discounts.
  
• Extend Frame Function Idea
  
• Add arrow and hand cursor icons to library
  
• Scan for Corrupted Files
  
• Quick single frame from video or capture idea
  
• BEHAVIOR : Diagonal in and out
  
• Silly "Transition halves"
  
• Blur Motion for Camtasia 9
  
• Audio Crossfading
  
• Gradient color for text
  
• I would like to see a tool where you can cut out any part of the image at any angle. (Masking)
  
• Audio capabilities need improvement
  

Camtasia (Mac):

• Feature request: reorder tracks
  
• Any plans to add support for AU/VST audio plugins?
  
• Feature Request:Lower upgrade price
  
• Add ability to make background transparent!
  
• Feature Request: Toggle individual cursor effects
  
• My suggestion for a new feature in Camtasia (that would be GREAT!)
  
• Why not include the library for Camtasia 3 just like Camtasia 9?
  

Snagit (Windows)

• Snagit 13 : Selection move - Add/change outline color...
  
• Real shadow effect
  
• "magnetic" align/arrange feature
  
• Shortcut to folders
  
• Add a new type of screen capture to snagit similar to the Windows 'Problem Steps Recorder'
  
• User interface v13.0.3
  
• Snagit 13 - Very frustrated with image edit capabilities. Uninstalling and going back to Snagit 8.2.2.
  
• SNAGIT OCR
  
• SNAGIT FUNCTIONALITY OVER TIME
  
• Add grid lines in SnagIt Editor
  
• Sending an image to Snagit Editor
  
• Able to edit image
  
• Snagit 13: Snagit Editor Preferences: "Zoom with Scroll Wheel"
  
• The handles in snagit need to BIGGER. I can hardly see them, leave alone get them with my mouse!

• PDF import, Batch Export to PDF format

Screencast.com

• The new look is very nice, it will be great if it becomes mobile friendly.

• Send screenshot to Snagit (or other) devices automatically
