I love this software but am moving over to Cyberlink for the following reasons, I need to be able to publish at 60fps, I'd like to publish at a better quality like 2 or 4k. I'd like to be have Audio Ducking, and a noise gate for better narration. I'd like to manually set the volume on narration for a whole track of individual recordings ie set it to 150 or 80 by typing in 150 or 80 (the current way is fine for the odd bit of work, but clunky and painful for an hour plus worth of video) and possibly have a mixing option to improve audio, apart from that this is great software, stable and easy to use, just not outputting the quality I need sadly

Oh and you seriously need to work on your tutorials btw, how the hell do you think a newbie will get to grips with your software with those little soundbite videos, when I learned I had to go onto Udemy and You Tube to learn how to use your product and that's ridiculous

    I would echo rodwillis' feedback.

I would take it a step further and say that I would like to see the ability to integrate third party audio software, like Audacity, into Camtasia to provide better audio quality. I've spent a lot of money on audio equipment and still sound like I'm in a metal box, placed inside a cave, using Camtasia.
And, rodwillis is correct, trying to adjust those little audio points is virtually impossible. Universal settings on each track would be a nice addition.
Finally, 4k is the way. Not "of the future" either. It's happening now. Get on board, or get left behind.

I think I get what you are saying. The feature is sexy, huh? ;)

I'll echo this and some others. 60 fps would be my vote, along with better 4k rendering. I tried rendering 4k and, while my machine may be part of the issue, the rendering was not moving for a 10 second clip. Thanks

I just want  smoother and new transitions or new behaviors.

$200 for a software without 60fps... really disappointed

    I agree with 60 fps...it's absolutely necessary.

I taught myself. I needed to do very fast and direct tutorials. LOVED the ability to link to local files for fully exportable, self-contained tutorials that did NOT depend on the internet for links in hotspots and such. So disappointed they removed that very simple feature, but it's about money for them.

Yep, 60 fps, Proxy files for 4k editing and some decent color grading would vastly improve this otherwise great software. I don't know how their 'short list' can skip all the most important stuff.

I honestly think that if we are paying $200+ for this software we should be able to produce in 60fps

Not gonna lie I feel as if these top picks are kinda dodgy as 4k rendering and 1080p at 60fps would be very highly recommended by the community and it's not on the list. It's like the standard in every video editing software except Camtasia. I appreciate the work you guys do behind the scenes but this is a priority feature that could literally be the deciding reason people don't buy this software.

I would like a better transcription feature, the you tube one is really strong and fast, but the camtasia transcription is unusable, if you guys could somehow integrate a really good transcriber to make my subtitles faster, that would be amazing!

Sorry but the directions and process for voting is too confusing so I'm off to something else without voting.  For example, where the heck does it say "Me Too" anywhere?  I saw a VOTE button but gave up cuz don't want to waste time.

VOTE is the button you want. The provider of this service has changed the terminology. I'll edit the original post to reflect the change. Thanks for pointing this out and sorry for the confusion.

I want to be able to move frame by frame with right and left keys again

Or even better, allow the end user (as in us) to configure the keys we want to assign to that function.

Please- I really need that level of control and prefer the arrow key control.

I would like to be able to enable back round remove, however, the "Remove back round color" option is still an okay option.

Interesting. I just upgraded to 9 and thought I was doing something wrong because I couldn't figure out how to left/right through frames anymore like in 8. Sounds like the feature doesn't exist. Bring that back! Or like you said, let us choose the keys.

You can still do it. The keys have changed. They are now the < and the > keys.

Can you add a vote overly or hotspot for Facebook, so we can create a poll on the video, they click like on video or thumbs down, and add emojis.

2nd request, have camtasia make GIFS static and Video Gifs

    Now get to work....lol

Heya Robert - I'm going to crawl out on a limb here and say that I'd bet it's very unlikely to see such a feature as creating the video poll or any other type of interactive feature.

    Why?

Because all we seem to be able to do with video on facebook is to upload a video file. Normally that stuff requires also uploading a swarm of other files (like we do with the smart player) to make that stuff work.

    Cheers... Rick :)

How about some simple sound FX like reverb &  delay?  I want my voice to sound exaggerated when I say my company, like PLANNNENNEETTTT MAARRRKKKETTTTINGGGGG with reverb.

There may already be a way to do this- but I'm always inadvertently adding Markers- makes me crazy. Any way to disable and just activate via SHIFT-M?

  • Chris
Above the Track #'s on the bottom left, there is a way to disable the Markers

I would like a feature to like blur an animation so that it looks a bit cool. And what about reversing clips? I think this editor is very good already, but it can always get better of course. Also, outline effects can be very cool too.

I would like an extensive audio library.  Using the same old songs like 'Gears of Steel' get old.

It would be great if the background image was not darkened when creating a quiz. That seems like a useless feature which prevents the quiz taker from seeing the images and complicates answering the question. Please get rid of this feature!

Having been a Camtasia license holder for well over a decade I still feel like the need for ASIO sound driver support is mandatory for those who have real post production/digital audio workstations (DAW).
