    A lot of the forum descended into bitching and much of that was due to NOT learning a new (possibly better ... or not) way of doing things. There were things in 12 I didn't care for and some things that were broken some of which have been fixed in 13.
    I suppose after a bit, they don't want to hear it.
    BUT .. some investment here so people can follow the road map and input suggestions would be great along with the idea of marking which are under consideration, which are on the road map and which ones are totally nixed, hopefully with a reason. If I don't like my idea being nixed, after a short pout with some tears, I will get back to posting and trying to help make snagit even better
    DISCLAIMER
    I posted a MAJOR bitch when 12 cam out and so not retract it. But moving on is nice too.. V13 has addressed many of the issues

    Please create a button for "Up" for up ideas, questions, and problems.

    If the idea is good, and does not comment nobody, will lose idea.
    In a debate can go out and good things, even if the start idea is bad.

    Or to give an answer:
    - Taken into consideration.
    - extracting only good ideas, and they are?
    - Partial Nixed
    - Totally Nixed, hopefully with a reason.

    if the idea is good and nobody voting.
    This means you will not be considered at all?
    It does not sound good at all.
    Only ones with votes are considered?
    What we do, we fight for votes or for ideas.

    For each discussion added to topic.
    A button as the "Like" used only by the @TechSmith Official Team.
    So we know that was read by an official Techsmith.

    They are too conservative
    They talk a lot, and they do nothing.
    They do not see real problems - even in beta versions.
    Team Techsmith dislikes  things said to object.

    if is only one problem.
    There are many flaws in version 13
    With them what we do. - no longer fix/remedy.

    Where can I find a list of what was fixed, remedied, corrected in the next version.
    What improvements or bring in the next version. [List, Status]
    What's new in the next version?

    What ideas, problems are considered in the next version.
    Here in Community Snagit I can not find anything about these.
    Status Snagit - Here in Community Snagit - is missing.

    That is the why I tried to intervene.
    I made my presence felt.
    I hit a lot of inflexibility for any idea or problem.
    I've written the these weeks and we will see what will be.

    We could definitely make better use of the status on ideas, questions, and problems. And we'll make an effort to do that more in the future.

    We make an effort to read every comment, some may get missed when things get particularly busy. But if there are follow up comments and Me Toos, it's definitely been read. When we see patterns in comments, requests, and issues, we put them into our system and prioritize them against other things we need to do.

    Not every post can get a response from us, nor should it, necessarily. That's because what is amazing about these forums is that they are community forums. We have a ton of passionate users that are willing to help each other out. Whether that be giving a tip, a quick tutorial, or backing up your issue that your having with the software. But we will try and mark statuses better going forward.

    We're definitely listening.

    Any other ideas on how we could be more transparent?

    Your system is geared only towards feedback, suggestions, questions, and ideas. But not straight-up bug reports.

    Even your support ticket system only has a category for "Technical questions", as if it is impossible that a customer could actually have a clear bug to report. It comes across as quite arrogant, assuming that customers can only have questions. And it's also quite ironic, considering that TechSmith's QA team (if you have one) is not all that hot when it comes to noticing bugs.

    When straight-up bugs are reported in your forum, especially ones that have clear instructions that demonstrate exactly how to reproduce, TechSmith should definitely acknowledge 100% of those, and confirm what is being done about the bug. For the benefit of all who are reading the forums.

    I'll definitely check out the issues you posted momentarily and respond. Thank you very much for reporting them.

    I'd suggest everyone to contact technical support when encountering any bugs, as that'll be the fastest and most effective way to get your issue resolved. Our technical support people are great at walking you through what we need to reproduce the problem. Not everyone thinks to include clear reproducible steps. They help us get clear information.

    We definitely have a hard working QA team. Snagit is an app with many many different permutations. It's designed and developed to be able to be customized to your workflow. And with that comes lost of possible paths to test on the 3 versions of Windows that we support, with different hardware (which matters very much for video related issues).

    But, like I said, thank you for reporting those issues. I'll check them out. And I'll bring up the available categories for submitting with tech support as well.
