Change resolution for video capture to match resolution of my screen

    Yes, that's not good is it?  Even at highest resolution it's still not capturing my 2K monitor.  I am not sure TechSmith will change this quickly though.  SnagIt video is not great.  Good for occasional low res work like capturing a GIF but they have Camtasia for the more heavy duty video work

    Hi sienavan;

    The maximum recording resolution for Snagit 12 is 1920x1080 and there is no way to change that. It was not until Snagit 13 was released that we supported greater-than-1080p recording.

    Hi;

    Snagit 13 and Snagit 2018 (the latest version available) support 4k recording resolutions. You can look into the upgrade here and here.

    Why the tool is not telling me at the beginning that it can't record the size I choose ?
    It waits until the end to display a message and I don't have any record at all.

    I have Snagit 2023 and still have problems with the video recording resolution, when i try to record windows larger than 1920x1080 the software crash, please fix it!
