This is HOW i SOLVED IT :

Just want to help because for me what helped was to switch from 144hz my gaming screens to 60hz.

As long as i work i don't need 144hz on my 3screens ... so if you have a new shining screen please turn back from 144hz refresh rate to 60hz

Ugh...I don't want to lower my monitor refresh rate.  I have a single 38" ultrawide gaming monitor and the whole reason I spent $1500 on it is for the high refresh rate.

    My PC specifications:

    AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core CPU

    32 GB RAM

Seagate FireCuda 520 SSD M.2 NVME Drive

nVidia GeForce RTX 3090 FE GPU (24 GB of VRAM)

    Resolution I'm running on my monitor: 3840 x 1600

So, my system resources should NOT be the culprit here.

I had this issue pop up the past 3 weeks. I figured it was the volume of screen captures I was using for an online course build. I work with two large 4K monitors and a small laptop monitor with my desktop extended across all three. Lag times to load were getting into the 30 seconds to up to 1 minute to load the capture toolbar and then another 30 seconds to get the crosshairs! In my work, this was seriously slowing down production. In research came across this thread. I have read a few posts and tried some suggestions. This one I came across from a year ago did the trick.

    Try this:
    1. (Snagit capture panel), "Time Delay" toggle off/on. Mine was "off", but 5 sec grayed out
    2. Toggle "on", change the delay to min. 1 sec
    3. Test capture: "Print Sc" - Crosshairs in 1 sec!
    4. Toggle "Time Delay" back to "off"
    5. Test again: Crosshairs right away!
                                       ...... your results may vary.....

I did this with mine and the issue is resolved. So Thank you!

Hopefully, this helps out others as well.
