If you take into consideration the other requests of 100's of Camtasia users like>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Ability to select a lighter background
    Larger timeline indicator numbers
Customizable UI and so much more.

We waited over a year. For this 1/2 baked improvement??????????????????????

I'm surprised you didn't post a image of a raised middle finger along with this thread.

I find the new UI is now  quite acceptable ... especially after I properly 'tuned' the contrast and brightness on my monitor, using the monitor's own controls:  if you haven't done that, it is well worth looking into. The number of incorrectly set up monitors  among our video  club members, when I checked them,  was quite frightening.  It can make a world of difference to how a programme looks:  not saying that is so in your case, but suggesting it could be worth looking into if you haven't done so already.

I use Media Composer, Edius and Resolve for video editing, and the UI of Camtasia is now on a par with those.  Only MC offers any UI colour/contrast control, and MC is many times the cost of Camtasia.  And once set ... never used again.  Hardly one finger territory.

About big improvements  :  What about creating a Media Bin folder configurable in each project ? This could solve the nightmare of long life file management and team working on the same projects...
Thanks to think about this for pro users,
    Alain

I doubt that that has anything to do with the upgrade, otherwise all of us would have noticed it.  I've not seen any other complaint along these lines, and given how long 9.1.2 has been out now, I would have expected to had it broken this.

It could be that you were caught out by ripple delete's exciting behavioural quirks. I learnt the hard way to only delete selections, not split sections of a track unless they're right at the end.  (Otherwise the only things that "ripple" are the ones on the tracks that you delete sections from, leaving assets on other tracks out of sync.)

It may be something else, but it will almost certainly be a project issue, not a version issue.

Ok, so if I delete a piece of video, I can better only use the delete option instead of the ripple delete?
I do use the ripple delete option more often nowadays, so that could explain it

No, ripple delete is fine; you just have to be careful to select the entire selection to be deleted using the red and green marker points. If you delete just a segment of a track, it will ripple delete whatever is on that track... but not on other tracks. However looking at your other thread, I don't think that's your problem.
