    When I say slicing tool, I'm meaning the the tool that can cut out full-length vertical and horizontal sections. It's a great tool to remove blank space in a screenshot to condense the content you care about. Does that make sense?

    Thanks for explaining, you are the second person I've seen use that work, "slice", now I know.

    @Tony Coty, if by "slicing tool" you mean what @Kyle Stenson has posted, then the "Cut Out" tool does that.  See Image > Tools > Cut Out.

    the tool that can cut out full-length vertical and horizontal sections.

    Hi Tony;
    Where are you seeing references to a "Slicing Tool?" Was it from a TechSmith source or from a different source? Perhaps they are referring to the "Snipping tool" on Windows?

    I am familiar with the cut out tool, but have read a couple of people calling something "slice" tool, and never saw that word in Snagit.

    Thank you for taking time to help.

    Robert, thanks for the reply, I already got my answer, its the tool that cuts jagged edges, that is now my understanding. (see attached screenshot).

    I read twice by two posters using the word "slicing tool" on this forum.  I kept looking at my Snagit program, but didn't see anything in help or on my toolbar that said "slicing tool", and that's because the people asking about it were not using the correct name, which I still don't know that it's called, but it is the tool I'm attaching ere.
