Can Camtasia record a Powerpoint slideshow along with a video presenter on a Mac?

Yes, of course you can.  I do it all the time.  It's quite easy.  Just set the canvas recording area to match your PowerPoint window (or full screen if you present PowerPoint full screen).

When you say "record yourself", did you mean an audio recording (of voice over the slides) or a video recording (side by side with the powerpoint)?
I assumed audio only in my answer above.
If you mean video, it may be more complicated, but I am sure it is possible.  I have never bothered to learn how, because I see no value in them seeing my talking head...

Run PowerPoint on your computer, then start your recording session in Camtasia. There is a FaceTime HD option, and if you have an external video source, it should show up there as well. Switch the camera to "on" and you are good to go. Once you are done recording, you will see your video overlay with the PowerPoint slides. You can then move the video around to the location you want and re-size the video.

Best I can tell, there is no way to set up a template so the video always finishes at a certain size and displays at a certain, so that could be a little annoying if you are like me and do short clip increments throughout the day.
