Complementary software for organizations transitioning to remote environments due to COVID-19
TechSmith is helping organizations and academic institutions who are preparing for prolonged absences and/or campus closures due to COVID-19. We are offering free access and expanded usage of tools that help enable business and educational continuity.
Our screen recording tool, TechSmith Snagit, and our asynchronous collaboration platform, TechSmith Video Review, will be provided for free through the end of June 2020 to any organization that needs it.
Existing Relay customers will be provided an expanded site license with campus-wide access through the end of June 2020. If you qualify for this offer, your TechSmith account executive will be in contact shortly with further details. Video Review customers will have threshold limits removed, and this is happening automatically.

Great idea but just tried to do this for Video Review and because I have had a previous trial it wont let me use it
I am already an existing Camtasia and Snagit user0 -
Hi RobP!
Sorry to hear about that! I'll look into this and find out what the next steps are and will get back with you as soon as I hear more. Thanks for your patience!

Hey RobP,
We failed to account for users who had already completed a trial of Video Review. I sit over by the other engineers that manage this and they just said they finished reseting everyone's state so you should be good to go now

Great thanks for your help and swift response 0 -
Thanks for bringing it to our attention! 0 -
That we are, and we have a pretty good setup to do so. We've been trialing more and more full-remote options and have good policies in place to deal with what may come. 0 -
Gosh, I hope TS office is looking at remote work options.
Stay safe, everyone.0 -
Is Camtasia being offered through June as well? 0 -
Hello Snagit and Video Review are being offered for use through June. Snagit is a versatile product covering urgent first-time video creation needs as well as image capture for everyday communication and process documentation. See the link for more information on capabilities of both. 0 -
I am a teacher. My school has been temporarily closed due to Covid-19. I installed Snagit the other day and it said this is a only 15 trial days. I don't know how to get free Complementary software from Techsmith. Please help! Thanks a million! 0 -

Huy Ngo Quang, if you received an email after you completed the request form it should have given you instructions on how to access the 'until June' offer. It can take a bit (an hour last I heard) to receive that email. You are also welcome to contact customer service with info Joe provided, if you aren't receiving any email. 0 -
Would have loved to see Camtasia on this list. Adobe is granting our students home licenses because we have licenses purchased for all of our media lab machines, but our students greatly prefer working with Camtasia to working with Premiere+a screen recording tool. We have 250 licenses of Camtasia for our lab computers, but students have no access for the rest of the school year. 0 -
Yep, I do the training for a college; we have a multiuser license bundle, but we won't be able to use it now for our student projects, scrambling to find alternatives. 0 -
Hi there
Sounds like you may be using some kind of "site licensing"? I'm curious about that because a typical license allows an install and activation on two different computers. Of course, the thought behind that is for one to be a work computer at the office while the second is intended for either a home computer or a laptop computer where the office worker can still be productive when away from the office.
I'm not sure if the same applies to site licensing. Hopefully someone from TechSmith will pop in here to advise on that.
Cheers... Rick :)0 -
James, I emailed you. Since you did already buy the product, we will figure out an option that works for your students. 0 -
Hi
I have just filled in the questionnaire. Unfortunately, the country where the school is located is not listed in the pull down menu. I just put our nearest neighbour . Is that ok?
The school is in a British Overseas Territory called Turks And Caicos.
In terms of category, I put “Education “ but ithe school is also a registered non-profit. The form would not allow me to select both.0 -
Of course that's fine. Sorry we missed a country, not sure what list we pull those from but we will check into it. 0 -
Filled out the form yesterday. Heard nothing. Trying to get myself and our teachers ready for online teaching & hope to use Casmtasia to make videos for them. devon.adams@husd.org 0 -
Hi, that’s odd. Check your spam email then contact us. See https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us for customer support info. 0 -
Doing it now. 0 -
Devon you can also try contacting customersuccess@techsmith.com.
This is the email link at the bottom of the covid announcement and is used specific to this covid offer, and may be faster than our regular customer service (or may not be). It's possible our offer email is getting too taxed and missing emails - I do know the wait is more than an hour now, or possible that you previously unsubscribed and are on a suppression list somewhere. Sorry for any delays in service, we are hit pretty hard right now and doing our best.0 -
I've applied twice for the COVID Educational licensing & never get an email other than to verify address. 0 -
Great Idea. Thanks TechSmith. Here's a video I made to help teachers with a quick way to make Camtasia video during the pandemic. Using Camtasia to Make Visually-Interesting, Engaging Educational Video during COVID-19 and Beyond. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EK71QW4vSzA 0 -
I sent in a request over a week ago and haven't heard back. Should I keep waiting? Sorry to bug you! 0 -
Schwartj, if you complete the form you should get info on the snagit download within in hour. There are a few reasons you might not such as previously unsubscribing techsmith emails or another kind of email filter. If you email, customersuccess@techsmith.com, they should be able to send you a link directly. 0 -
Thank you for your quick response. I sent an email to tech support and they are telling me that I do not have any software keys associated with my email address. Should I fill it out again with my home gmail address instead? 0 -
Hi if tech support said that then they misunderstood what you wanted. You don't need a key for you something you purchased, you don't need a key at all, you need access to the download software that works until the end of June. It's the weekend so noone monitoring the email I sent above probably, so I sent an email directly to you with the link you need. 0
