Video editing
I'm new to Knowmia, but I would like to be able to insert pre-recorded videos into a Knowmia screencast. Is that possible? I know it is possible with Camtasia, but my institution doesn't have that product for us to use.

I want to make sure I understand what you're asking for. Are you trying to make a new video, that is partly made up of another video? If so, then yes you need a product like Camtasia to edit your videos together.
If you're just trying to share a video you already have in Knowmia, you can upload it there. You can also embed YouTube videos in Knowmia to share with your students. Do make sure you have the rights to reuse these videos if they were made by somebody else.

Yes, that is what I wanted - to make a new video, but be able to insert videos that I previously recorded (of working with students, showing how to perform examples, etc.), and Knowmia doesn't have that capability. Thanks for answering my question.

When I am video-recording myself speaking directing to my audience, it is important to speak directly to the camera. Although looking away is natural, I am told that I look like I am reading my script, which is not good! To correct this, I look at the script, then at the camera and speak. But then I must cut out the segment where I am looking down. But my video becomes jerky at that cut. How can I fix this? I would greatly appreciate an answer to this question. Thank you!
