Sorry, but more information is needed here.

What exactly is meant by opo?

Hi, it was meant to read unwanted pop up! The pop up message reads...

'Control + Shift+ W not available as shortcut only available in Windows'

This message window keeps appearing when I press the red capture button. What's happening here please? I am using a Mac. Never had this until I upgraded to the 2020 version.

    Thanks for the information!

First off, note that I'm a PC user. I've never seen the Mac version. I am aware that TechSmith has been working to bring parity to the two versions of SnagIt, but I don't believe it to be completely equal yet,

Having said that, I'm going to ASSUME that the Mac version is at least similar to the Windows version in its ability to allow you to assign Shortcut keys to perform the capture. And this leads me to believe that somewhere in your SnagIt, you have this keyboard shortcut assignment existing.

On the Windows side, there are a couple of places to look to check hotkey assignments. There is the Main Capture Window:

And at the bottom left corner of that window is a Presets area.

If you click the gear icon, you should then see any Presets that have been configured.

My guess is that in one of these areas, that shortcut combination has been configured and you will need to either re-assign a new shortcut or just delete the one that is there.

To delete an existing shortcut, click directly on the shortcut, then click the X at the right of where you clicked.

Again, all of this makes the assumption the Mac version will behave similar to the Windows version in these respects.

    Cheers... Rick :)

Hi Rick. Thanks for your input - much appreciated. The Mac version appears somewhat different and unfortunately your hints haven't cracked it. Some of the features in the Windows version just aren't in the Mac. I'll raise a ticket with TechSmith. Thanks again, Allan

There is one other place you might want to look if it's there.

Again, in Windows we are able to click File > Capture Preferences... and a dialog opens. And on the dialog is a Hotkeys tab where a few additional hotkeys may be manipulated.

If that doesn't help I sincerely apologize. And I hope that TechSmith support can get you sorted tomorrow.

    Cheers... Rick :)
