    Hi Colin,

I downloaded and tried this app with no luck. It shows up in Windows 10 64_Bit in the Sound Settings but will not let me change it to Default or even use it. I also tried it in Skype but it defaults to my laptop mic and speakers and cannot show up for KRISP in any of these apps. It appears to be one for communication apps when doing live stream of some kind of conference call. I just thought I would let you know what I was experiencing. Thanks for posting and have a great day/night.

    Hi Colin!

To confirm, you're not seeing Kris show up here:

Can you please confirm that you have your microphone selected and the "Remove Noise" option in Krisp's System Tray menu option?

With regard to noise gates like Krisp and nVidia's RTX Voice, you wouldn't set them as the actual default microphone in the Windows System Settings, but rather set the actual microphone you intend to use as the default but then select the Krisp microphone in the various applications that you use.

Note too, that when I first installed Krisp and signed up for a subscription, I did have to restart the computer in order to get a number of applications to recognize Krisp (Discord, Steam, TechSmith Capture, Snagit, and a few other communication apps). Once I did the restart, it showed up in Snagit 2020's dropdown and I was off using it. Since installing Krisp have you restarted the computer?

    Hi Robert,

I did restart after the install, I've just booted up this morning and I'm happy to say it has shown up in the list, it's bizarre, it wasn't there after the first restart, now after the second restart it has appeared.

I know you didn't do anything but I think I'll give you the credit anyway !!  :)

Thanks for the reply, I'm up and running now.

    Hi Colin Bright

So glad it's up and running for you!

We can attribute it to the similar case where your automobile might have a clunk in it, so you call the mechanic and set up an appointment, but at the time of the appointment the car's running perfectly :)

Feel free to reach back out if you run into anything more!

    -Robert
