    What type of content are you attempting to capture? Is it from a copyright-protected streaming service such as a Netflix stream or Amazon Prime video? Are you running any antivirus / security software? If so, please add an exception for TechSmith Capture via the antivirus/security FAQ. While this support article is actually for Snagit, it may be relevant to the situation you're running into. You might want to see if any of the solutions offered RE: security/antivirus software help with your case.
