Recently I've finally decided to update to SnagIt 2020 and I even took the plunge and decided to also get the maintenance subscription as I usually update every couple of years due to not finding enough value in doing it every year, but with the maintenance price being what it is, I figured I'd just treat this as yet another subscription and would now just keep it going. I wasn't impressed when I found out that something I rely heavily in SnagIt 2019, no longer works in SnagIt 2020 for Mac - using the cursor keys to fine tune the selection when dragging a rectangle to grab something. After raising a ticket and them finally understanding what I was talking about, they sent me here to raise a "feature request" - I don't quite get why I should ask for something that always worked to come back and why I now have to use an older version to get that functionality back.
Who comes up with such, let me find another word as I don't want to write the one I'm thinking of here, "smart" decisions of dropping a feature that is so convenient and works so well without even doing a poll on their users to find out, and more, to alert them that something they use may be going away as that would have stopped me from upgrading in the 1st place!)
So, the main question here is: am I better to just ask for a refund for my 2020 upgrade and cancel the maintenance or is this feature missing by mistake and will it be coming back soon? As, really, there's nothing in 2020 that I felt I "had" to have, and losing this DOES impact my workflow considerably. So much so that I've now reinstalled SnagIt 2019... And yes, I know this is not listed in the help for SnagIt 2019 for Mac but it DOES work, despite being shown as being a Windows only thing...
