    Hi,

This issue is fixed in today's 2020.2.2 and 2021.0.2 updates.

    You're using { All-in-One } capture in you're video.

You need to use { Image } capture.

    On Windows the menu looks like this. You need to select { Multiple Area }

    From there you launch it.

    Make your selections.

At the top of the screen is a menu to select Finnish capture.

Hope the workflow is the same or simular for a Mac.

    Ginger.

Thanks but it's exactly the same using "Image" instead of "All-in-One." I also don't get that "finish" button. Actually, there's no "Multiple Window" selection. But if you look in my video, the tool tip tells me to press "Command" to accomplish this. It doesn't seem to work though.

    Support docs say:

    Mac:

    1. In the Capture window, select the All-in-One tab.

    2. Click the Capture button or press Control+Shift+C.

    3. The orange crosshairs appear. Hold the Command key and click and drag to select the desired areas on the screen.

    4. Release the Command key to end the capture.

    :(

    Hi,

So sorry about this! We did some work to improve the performance of the capture crosshairs and this feature was an accidental casualty of that. We are working on a fix that will come out in upcoming maintenances for 2020 and 2021.

Oh, well this would save me hours of work. In this case, can I add a feature request? It would be nice if multiple regions could be selected, but then repeated over and over again. So let's say I have ten scanned pages and they all would have the same regions. Maybe that was already a feature. I don't know. Thanks.

After taking a capture, if you press "Control Shift R", that will repeat the last capture you took. Once the fix is out for multi-region, you will be able to use those together.

Yeah, great. Any idea how long? Are we talking like any day or 7 months?  I sort of bought it for this. :)

It will very likely be before the end of the year, hopefully within the next month. If you need it sooner, you can reach out to support and request a prerelease build of the next update.

    Hi,

I've finally gotten around to trying it. I was able to make multiple selections, but snagit puts them all into a single project. How do I get separate screen shots of each region?

You would need to take multiple screenshots to do that. Multi-region is designed to take multiple snippets of your screen and arrange them into a single capture with the correct spacing between them to match their original positions. I hope this helps.

That's entirely ridiculous! Why in the world would I want to do that? I could just take one big screenshot and everything would be in the right position. I thought this would save me time but it's a useless feature for me. There not even a way to export the individual selections that were made!
