    Hi all!

    I just wanted to pop in here to let folks know that the first step in troubleshooting your Snagit Capture button not working would be to follow the recommendation that Milos Vymazal posted previously, which is to reinstall Snagit.

    Feel free to respond here or open a Support ticket if you continue to run into issues!

    Man, I'm starting to run into this on a weekly basis (on my Windows 10 workstation).

    Yes, uninstalling and reinstalling solves the problem, but it's just much too hassle to go thru this frequently. I'll raise a Support Ticket next time this happens. Hopefully there's something in the log files that will identify what's stepping on Snagit.

    I may have hit on when I get the issue?

    If I open SnagIt to capture a scrolling window and the scrolling window I select is one, which is inside another window, I do not get the ability to scroll the window. When I then run SnagIt, the capture button does not work. I then have to go in and end the SnagIt capture process in Task Manager > Processes? SnagIt then works again.

    Have the same after reboot Windows 11. The hotkey and Edit buttons don't work either.

    The tray icon doesn't work as well, not showing the context menu after clicking it due to the window opened and after closing.

    i can't uninstall it because it says it is in the background running. I manually close it. Also, I use the "close now" option offered by Snagit in the popup windown. Nothing is helping. Somehow mysteriously this crap is open somewhere? I even did a windows task manager and there is no snagit running. God damn. And I am a paying user.

    I have TechSmith Snagit 2021.  The Capture button is not working. I reinstalled software and still Capture button not working.
