Is there a way for Snagit to not capture itself while recording full screen?

    Go into SnagIt capture preferences.........Capture......... 

    You want to Un-Check..............Show quick controls in fullscreen recordings.

     That should do it.

    Hi Ginger,

    Thanks for replying.

    I tried your suggestion and ran into the following issues:

    1. Red S icon still shows on task bar and in the system tray
    2. I could not pause the video when needed to as there were no controls.

    Do you have any other suggestions please or is this a bug?

    There are hotkeys to control the recorder.

     

    Taskbar Icons are a Windows function. If a program feature/window/folder is running in a minimized state. { On the Taskbar } It appears there.

    I don't know how to get around it?
