    I have a Snagit 2019.1.10, this version crash on Mac Air with M1 chip (Big Sur, 11.0.1

    On older Mac with Intel is work fine

    Hi folks,

    It looks like there are a couple different issues here, so I'll try to address each one of them.

    pascal.schefer - try deleting the contents of this folder /Users/Shared/TechSmith/Snagit/License and see if that fixes the issue on launch.

    evg - we're working on getting a fix out for 2019, but in the mean time you can enable the OneClick tab and use that to capture.

    Adriaan Vivier - unfortunately Snagit 2018 is no longer supported on Big Sur https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/articles/219910027-Mac-OS-X-Support-Matrix, but the OneClick tab should work for you as well. If you're looking to upgrade, today is the last day of our Cyber Monday sale :)

    Thank you so much for your precious help. I was able to start Snagit right after deleting the contents of the license folder. No I am working happily with Snagit again on my new iMac, which is just great.

    I just have one little more issue with the access autorisation for system audio. I don't manage to activate this item. 

    There seems to be nothing I can authorize in the system/security settings:

    Glad that fixed the launch issues!

    For the system audio, try uninstalling and reinstalling the system audio component and see if that works. (Button for this is at the bottom of Snagit's capture preferences)

    Hi Luke,

    I've been having issues on and off with Snagit 2021 since upgrading to Big Sur on my Mac.  It's been a couple of months.  It appears Snagit closed, and then I could not get it to launch again, even after a restart.  I performed the action you recommended for EVG above (remove the contents of License folder) and that allowed Snagit to start.  As soon as I clicked on it, it shut down again.  Apparently, I don't get to use it.  With all the issues people are having, is there not a fix of some sort applicable?

    Have you updated to Snagit 2021.1.1? The issues from this thread should be all cleared up in the latest update. If you're seeing crashes, are there reports being generated in the Console app?

    Well, it took me a minute (hard to find the version when it won't stay open), but I found it and am downloading the update.  My current version is 2021.1.0, so we'll see if 2021.1.1 solves the issues.
