    Sorry to hear of the struggles you're running into. Unfortunately the issue is likely tied to the fact that Snagit 4 is not compatible/supported with Big Sur. See here for more details on what TechSmith applications are compatible with the various operating systems.

    Given the age and lack of support on Big Sur, I recommend downloading the Snagit 2021 trial to see if it works for you. You can download the trial here, though note that you may need to follow these steps to get everything set up properly.
