We wanted to give a bit of an informative post about the items found here:
Report Crashes and Analytics:
By staying opted in to report crashes and analytics, you are choosing to help TechSmith understand the usage and ultimately improve the product. No personal information is tied to this data, and sharing this information is completely anonymous. It also won’t affect the performance of Audiate. If you’d like, you can read more about the TechSmith User Design Initiative (TUDI).
Improve Speech-to-text with anonymous data:
TechSmith Audiate uses IBM Watson to power the speech-to-text that transcribes your audio files. Part of the reason we use a service in the cloud like this is so that our users can take advantage of an ever-improving and continuously learning speech engine. Sharing anonymous data back to the IBM Watson service helps the transcript and word recognition get better and better. No personal information is collected or stored with transcript data, however, if your audio regularly includes sensitive or personal information, we recommend you opt out of this option.
You can read more about privacy at TechSmith here.
