    Hi,

When you say no audio, are you referring to external microphone audio or internal computer audio?

If it's the latter, you'll need to follow the steps in this article to enable the system audio component https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/articles/360056384711-M1-Chip-and-the-Snagit-System-Audio-Capture-Component.

Thanks for the quick response back, great support!   It is the internal audio that doesn't work.  When following the article, I don't get the error message that says that the system extension is blocked.  I dk that the Rogue amoeba is installed or not.

That dialog would appear after installing the audio component, which you can do via this button in Snagit's capture preferences:

One other thing, what version of Snagit are you running?

When I open that up it asks if I want to uninstall the System Audio Component, do I need to uninstall it and reinstall it?

    Version 2021.1.1 (98033)

yeah, I would try that. it's possible there's an older version of it installed. If that doesn't work, I can open up a support ticket for you.

Sorry, but that didn't work either.  Yes, I would appreciate you opening a support ticket for me.

I only can say that you are not alone. I´ve got the same problem with Snagit 2021 on my M1 MacBook Pro. I tried every possible solution and nothing works (only on my MacBook. My iMac has the same settings and it works grate! The difference is the M1-chip).

I think, it is a hardware issue

    Hi Christoph,

Have you followed the steps on https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/articles/360056384711-M1-Chip-and-the-Snagit-System-Audio-Capture-Component? You can also try our native M1 pre-release build and see if that works better, you can get it via the link at the bottom of https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052555611-Snagit-and-Apple-Silicon-Compatibility-Info. I hope this helps!

Hi Luke, I tried it, but I didn’t have an other result. With other software I did this step and it works. But in Snagit I have the case, that the programm has every right, which it wants to have.

Would you like me to open up a support ticket for you? This should be working, and they can work with you to figure out why it isn't in your case.
