Perfect Circle Spin on the spot

This is what I'm trying to do. The 'outer circle' is the grey area with the text and then images for those topics. The 'Inner circle' is the timer in the middle.  When I add the custom animation to spin the outer circle, it moves up so much during the spin that it partially goes off screen and the inner circle covers the text in the lower left area

can you screencast an explanation of that section of project, describing how you've constructed the object: are those items grouped?  share the narrated screencast on screencast.com?

I don't know how to screencast but the outer circle image was created in Adobe illustrator initially. It's now a PNG file so the text etc is not separated in Camtasia. It's just an image.

The inner circle of the timer is actually a video (the timer moves) downloaded from Envato elements with a transparent background

this is the full image (png). I basically want it to spin and then stop on the category that's being discussed in the video. This is for the intro to various training videos and there will be different versions where the arrow points to the category for each version

what you want is easy to do; but you need the correct image/graphics

a screencast is just a screen capture that is hosted on screencast.com [free for Camtasia users]

anyway, here is a quick example ...

thank you for taking the time to create that for me and for teaching me about Screencast. This is how i'm doing it. I'm not sure if it's something wrong with the way I'm animating it (I'm new to Camtasia), or if it's something wrong with the original image

    thanks for the screencast

it looks like your outer circle is slightly oval in shape [not a pure circle]; and that you are rotating it slightly off center; that's why it wobbles

is there an easier way to rotate so it rotates perfectly centered?

I can play with the image to make it perfect circle (which I thought had been done)

    thank you!

  • Here's Johnny

The inner circle png image you shared is off center.

    I corrected the problem.

Right click and download this one.

You should have no problem rotating this one.
