Hi, I use audiate quite frequently as a CBT developer for the NAVY. When I shoot unscripted video and bring it into audiate for transcribing I always find that I need to cut out all of the verbal pauses such as "You know", "Ah", "humn" etc. Audiate is a great tool for doing this and it always makes the audio sound better. I export the captions as an srt file. The problem is when I try to marry the srt file back to the video I come up short by about 15 to 20%. Resyncing this by hand in Camtasia is quite a chore. What would be great is if I can just drag the captions to the left to the same length as the video track and the program would insert time at regular intervals for that 15 To 30 percent space that I dragged the caption. I think it would be close enough that it would take minimal tweaking to get it perfect.
Of course, a better solution would be to be able to cut all of the verbal pauses in audiate and have these changes also apply to the video track as well. This would require a round trip type solution I think.
